| The Chairman shall be chief executive of the SCQAA-OC and shall perform the functions of this office. He/she shall preside at all meetings of the SCQAA-OC Executive Committee and the SCQAA-OC Executive Board and shall be an ex-officio member of all Standing Committees. This office is elected for a term of one (1) year. The Chairman’s specific responsibilities include:
Administrate the activities of the association with the aid of the Executive Committee.
Call all business meetings as well as any Executive Committee and Executive Board meetings if and when required.
Prepare the agenda for each business meeting and communicate the agenda to all Executive Board Members.
Preside at all SCQAA-OC meetings.
Rule on and resolve any conflicts regarding protocol or rules of order.
Be the primary point of contact for external organizations.
Represent SCQAA-OC at external functions, meetings and conferences, and is the focal point including other SCQAA organizations. |

| The Vice Chairman shall assist the Chairman in the performance of his/her duties and shall assume such other duties as are assigned by the Chairman. In the absence of the Chairman, the Vice Chairman shall assume the duties of the Chairman, and shall preside at meetings of the SCQAA-OC Executive Board. In the event, for any reason, the Chairman is unable to complete his/her term of office, the Vice Chairman shall assume the title and duties of the Chairman until the next regularly scheduled election for that office. This office is elected for a term of one (1) year. The Vice Chairman’s specific responsibilities include:
Preside at ad-hoc committees as required.
Advise the Chairman on responsibilities and practices
Preside at Association meetings in the absence of the Chairman. |

| The role of the Programs Chair is to ensure that the chapter membership is provided with a series of presentations that they find desirable, meaningful and useful.Presentations fill a dual role, in that they both attract members to the meetings and provide information that is useful to the members. This office is elected for a term of one (1) year.

| The Secretary shall keep minutes of all business conducted at general membership meetings, Executive Committee Meetings, keep and maintain all SCQAA-OC records except as otherwise provided by the Bylaws, and shall keep the meeting attendance. The Secretary shall assist the Chairman and/or committee heads in preparing and sending mailings to SCQAA-OC members and other interested parties when necessary. The Secretary shall assist the Chairman with SCQAA-OC correspondence and supervise the preparation of the SCQAA-OC newsletter. This office is elected for a term of one (1) year. |

| The role of the Electronic Communications Chair is to: act as Webmaster for the SCQAA-OC website, www.scqaa.com; develop, maintain, and manage the SCQAA-OC web; post content to the website based on requests from the various Chairs; be the key focal point with the contracted Internet Service Provider (ISP).The Electronic Communications Chair is no specifically responsible for web page content, but might need to be involved in the restructuring or reformatting of the desired content that is to be posted to the website. |

| The role of the Food Services Chair is to purchase food and beverage for upcoming general meetings. | Help staff the registration at our monthly dinner meetings, greet our members and guests.This includes making sure everyone (including Speaker and board members) have singed-in. Collect money or complimentary passes, and give out PDU receipts. Encourage attendees to place a business card in our basket for evening drawing. |

| The role of the Public Relations Chair is to: act as the SCQAA-OC public point of contact regarding the mission of SCQAA-OC; act as lead ambassador for SCQAA-OC; communicate and network with other related professional associations; communicate and network with related vendor and professional corporations regarding meeting attendance; identify advertising opportunities such as news media, periodicals, publications, other associations, Internet discussion groups, etc; advertise SCQAA-OC meetings and events in various media formats; maintain and enhance the public image of SCQAA-OC; increase public awareness of SCQAA-OC; help to increase overall meeting and related event attendance; increase the recognition of SCQAA-OC to the public; increase the value of SCQAA-OC to its associates and sponsors; lead and manage SCQAA-OC events.This office is elected for a term of one (1) year. |
