This professional writing presentation achieves two goals:

1) teaches you the techniques to write much, much faster, with more impact and accuracy and
2) ensures your readers comprehend exactly what you are trying to communicate, quickly.

The presentation condenses time-tested, minimalist writing techniques including better word use, active voice sentence construction, lean paragraphing, and improved readability tools. This is a green presentation. Notes are not required as business card CDs with all the information and tools contained in the presentation and laminated quick-reference cards will be distributed to the attendees free of charge. Just enjoy the presentation and learn the tools to make you a better business writer “the next day.”

Mike’s Bio

Mike is an IT Project Manager at Southern California Edison (SCE), President of the Inland Empire Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication (the world-wide technical writer’s association) and Immediate Past President of the Project Management Institute California Inland Empire Chapter.

He has over 15 years experience in project management and over 10 years experience in the field of technical writing. Mike has taught and trained at the university, college, and industry levels and is a regular public speaker. He has presented Advanced Multitasking and Business Writing concepts at PMI’s Inland Empire, Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, and Los Padres Chapters, at the IIBA Orange County Chapter, at San Diego’s Naval Weapons Center, at SQCAA’s Orange County and Inland Empire Chapters, at the Southern Technology Conference (SoTeC), at PMI San Diego’s Annual Conference, regularly through the University of California at Irvine’s Project Management Certification Program, at the American Society for Quality (ASQ), and at numerous corporations throughout Southern California.

Mike attended UCLA majoring in Chemistry and also has a BA in Organizational Management. He has earned certificates in Small Business Administration from Santiago Canyon College, Satellite Technology from CSULB, DOD/Commercial Proposal Writing from Shipley, and Writing Instruction Certification from the Put It In Writing Institute in Dayton, Ohio. Mike is currently pursuing an MA in Organizational Management with a concentration in Leadership.
