About our Speakers:: Jesse Martinez
Profile: Software quality has been a passion since I landed my first software testing position back in January of 1990 at Xerox Corporation in El Segundo, CA. I can remember that day like it was yesterday, because it took an entire Saturday for the interview process. There must have been over 100 candidates and only 5 of us walked away with contracts to test their state-of-the-art “printers” (hardware & firmware). 1990 was a significant year since Xerox had just been awarded the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. I learned first hand about testing methodology, development process, business requirements, defect management, change and issue management, test planning and execution and the power of “exit criteria” that had been agreed upon by all stakeholders. The years I spent at Xerox were a pivotal point in my testing career since it gave me the backbone material to launch a software testing business. “I learned from the best”.
The last 15 years I have been working with healthcare payers and hospitals across the country managing the large system integration projects
