Big Data – The Next BIG Thing
Big Data is everywhere . . . there isn’t a day that goes by without another Big Data story. From the IRS piecing together social media updates to find tax cheats to stores collecting shopping habits on their customers. We leave our digital dust everywhere we go and we are surrounded by and have access to ever increasing and mind boggling volumes of data that others leave behind. There is an incredible opportunity to gain insights and identify trends not only to bring value and gain a competitive advantage, but also to learn about ourselves and our collective human culture. For any project to succeed, it has to have a solid QA component. As enterprises take on Big Data projects, QA organizations need to partner with Development, Projects/Product Management, and others to make sure the Quality aspect of these projects is not overlooked.
