Agile Development and Deployment Process and Tools
Project teams use various tools for the development and deployment of code and assets. Often these tools are not used cohesively which can lead to unnecessary overhead which can impact project schedule and budget. By following certain best practices and utilizing cohesive tool sets, software can be developed and deployed with minimal overhead and cost.
iCrossing has successfully implemented a development and deployment process aided by a cohesive set of open source tools. This has helped their team improve developer productivity, code quality and time to market.
In this presentation we will be looking at iCrossing’ s development and deployment process. The presentation will include an overview of the process, a deep dive into the tool set, a review of the workflow that results from this process, and sample implementation of the toolset for Java based projects. A focus of the presentation will be how the cohesion of the toolset results in reduction of overhead and costs.
